How Do I Register My Child For Indoor Soccer?
You first have to create an on-line account for yourself if you don’t already have one. To do this you will click on “REGISTER” in the main menu.
If you have an on-line account with us already you need to login into that account. Once you have logged in, you need to make sure you add your child to your account if not already done.
Once your child is on your account, then click Register at the top of the online account screen. Follow the prompts for registering your child.
What Programs Do You Offer For Children?
We have several programs for children, depending on the age and the location.
– We offer soccer for ages 2 years through U8 (Under 8) in our Kicks League year round.
– We offer soccer for U7 through U15 in our Youth League year round.
– We offer our Kicks Academy (training) for ages 3 through 12 year round.
– We offer our FasTrac Lacrosse Academy (training) for boys ages 1st grade through 7th grade during the May to September time frame in our Allen location.
What Other Sports Do You Offer Besides Soccer?
We have lacrosse training for boys in grades 1st through 7th grades during the months of May through September in the Allen location only.
How Do I Get a Player ID Card?
You can purchase your player ID card through your on-line account and then get your picture taken and have it printed when you come into the facility.
You can purchase your player ID card at the front desk when you come into the facility.
You can get it before your first game of the season but we recommend you come at least 30 minutes ahead of time if you are going to wait and do it then. Otherwise you can get it at anytime that we are open for business.
Does Any Player ID Card Work at Blue Sky Sports Centers?
No, only the Blue Sky Sports Center Player ID card will work at our facilities.
What Is The Player ID Card For?
The player ID card is required for anyone in our Junior Kicks, Super Kicks, youth leagues and adult leagues to be able to play in a game.
It is also a liability insurance coverage that we are required to carry and acts as a secondary insurance coverage for the person it is issued to in case of injury during a game.
How Much Is a Player ID Card?
For anyone age 17 and younger it is $18 and is good for one full year from date of issue.
For anyone 18 and older it is $23 and is good for one full year from date of issue.
A replacement card (in case someone loses their card) is $6 and is good through the expiration date on the original card.
A temporary card (good for only that date) is $3 and is typically for when someone forgets their card.
A coach’s card (required for anyone coaching a youth team) is $15 and is good for one year from the date of issue. It requires a background check done by Blue Sky before one can be issued.
How Long is a Blue Sky Player ID Card Good For?
A player card is good for one year from the date of issue.
A temporary card is only good for the date it is issued.
A replacement card is good through the expiration date of the original card.
What Do I Bring With Me to Get a Player ID Card?
If you are getting a player card for your child, make sure to bring your child (it is a photo ID) and either a birth certificate, passport or some other government issued ID to prove the child’s date of birth and $18 for the cost of the card.
If you are 17 years old and wanting to play in an adult league, you must bring one of your parents (or legal guardian) with you to get your player ID card. You also must bring your driver’s license, birth certificate, passport or other government issued ID to prove you are in fact 17 years of age. Your parent that comes with you (or legal guardian) must sign a legal waiver allowing you to play.
If you are 18 or older and getting a player card for yourself, make sure to bring a driver’s license, birth certificate, passport or some other government issued ID to prove your date of birth.
Do You Allow Cleats?
Cleats are not allowed, only turf shoes or flats or running shoes.
Do You Require Shin Guards?
Yes we do. At every age.
When Will My Child's Team Practice?
Practice are left up to the coach and parents of a specific team. The decision may be made to practice at Blue Sky if space is available but teams are not required to practice and they are not required to practice at Blue Sky.
What Days Do Your Leagues Play On?
Each facility is different but typically adult men Over 40 and Women play on Mondays in all three locations. Adult Men play on Tuesday through Thursday in all three locations. Coed plays on Friday evening, Saturday evening and Sunday evening in all three locations (the age bracket is different in each location however).
Youth leagues play on the weekends with some games on week nights depending on the facility and the season.
Check with the facility of choice to find out what ages play on Saturday versus Sunday.
How Much Is It To Register a Team On The Main Field?
The league fee for a main field team is $772 for an 8 game season for U14 through Adult leagues. The league fee for a main field team is $716 for an 8 game season for U7 through U13 leagues. These fees DO INCLUDE referee fees.
To register a team, if the team is a returning team from the current season playing, then a $75 deposit is required.
To register a team that is a new team (i.e. not returning from the current season playing) then the deposit is $150.
How Much Is It To Register a Team On The Small Field?
The small field is not a team fee but a per player fee.
For our Tiny Kicks league (2 year olds), the fee is $70 per player for 6 games and that includes a jersey.
For our First Kicks, Junior Kicks, Super Kicks and Premier Kicks leagues (3 years to U9), the fee is $85 per player for 8 games and that includes a jersey.
Kids in Junior Kicks, Super Kicks and Premier Kicks must also purchase the $18 player ID card (good for one year from the date of issue).
Are Practices Included In The Cost of My Fee?
No, league fees (main field) or player fees (small field) do not include practices.
If a team wishes to practice inside at Blue Sky Sports Center, they must book and pay for any practices.
I Don't Have A Team, Can I Still Register and Be Placed On A Team?
Yes you can. Individual registration for the main field is $70. You can register online by creating an online account and then registering to the age group you are interested in. Or you can register over the phone or in person at the front desk. Once we close registration and get teams and leagues formed, we will notify captains if we have players who have registered to be placed on a team. Once we place you, we will transfer you to that team and notify the captain of your contact information so they can get in touch with you. Your $70 will follow you to that team as your portion of the team fee.
Do You Rent Your Fields?
The outdoor fields are leased to a select club and are not available for rental.
The indoor fields are available to rent based on availability.
The cost to rent the main field for one hour is $85 plus tax.
The cost to rent the small field for one hour is $60 plus tax.
The cost to rent the warm-up field for one hour is $40 plus tax.
The cost to rent the basketball / futsal court (Allen only) is $60 plus tax.
Rental fee must be paid at the time the field / court is booked.
What is the Size of Your Main Field?
It is 185 feet by 85 feet.
What is the Size of Your Small Field?
It is 80 feet by 40 feet.
What Size Ball is Used For Indoor Soccer?
U14 and Older is a size 5.
U7 through U13 is size 4.
2 years through U6 is size 3.
How Soon Do You Start Kids in Soccer?
We start them in league play at the age of 2.
Our Kicks Academy Training program starts at 3.
What is Kicks Academy?
Kicks Academy is an 8 week training program for kids ages 3 to 12. Parents can register their child for one class a week for $136 or for two classes a week for $272. Class schedule differs based on facility so check the Kicks Academy schedule for information on that. The class is 45 minutes long with a certified coach.
How is Kicks Academy Different Than Your Kicks League?
The Kicks Academy is a training program which consists of a 45 minute class with a certified coach for an 8 week session.
The Kicks league is a program where kids can be placed on a team and play one game a week for 6 weeks for 2 year olds or 8 weeks for 3 through 8 year olds. Coaches of these teams are parent volunteers and the league is for fun.
What Do I Need to Do If I Volunteer to Coach a Youth Team?
You must fill out a background check form available on line under our forms page or available at the front desk. The cost for this is $15. Once that comes back ok to Blue Sky Sports Center then a Coaching card will be issued to you. This card is good for one year from the date of issue.
You also are responsible for contacting your team and communicating the game (and practice schedule if you have one) to the parents of the kids on the team. You are responsible for deciding on a team name or Blue Sky will assign a team name and color for you.
Do You Have Soccer Camps?
Typically there are camps during Christmas break, Spring break and summer. Blue Sky Sports Center hosts the camps but they are put on by outside organizations. Some of these camps will be available to register through Blue Sky and others will be available to register through the organization putting the camps on. Check on the camps option on our website for any camps that may be scheduled.
What if My Child Has a Friend Who Wants to Play? Can They Be On the Same Team?
As long as they are in the same age group they can be on the same team.
Can My Spouse and Myself Play on the Same Team?
Yes you can. As long as you both are in the same age group. When you register you would just need to indicate that you are wanting to play together.
Do You Allow Players Younger Than 30 On an Over 30 Team?
A team playing in the over 30 age group is allowed to have 2 players on their roster that are younger than 30 but not younger than 27.
Does My Child's Registration Include a Uniform?
If they are in any of our Kicks Leagues and the team has not indicated they are bringing their own jerseys, then the registration includes a jersey only. If you are needing the rest of the uniform, including cleats and/or a ball, we have packages that you can purchase that will include these items. The three packages we offer are below:
Package A – $64.99 – includes shorts, socks, shin guards, cleats and a ball
Package B – $49.99 – includes shorts, socks, shin guards and cleats.
Package C – $44.99 – includes shorts, socks, shin guards and a ball.
Do Your Main Field League Fees Include Referee Fees?
Yes they do.
Do You Have Outdoor Leagues?
No we do not. In our Colony location we have outdoor leagues on the weekends but they are run by an outside organization.
